Driving the five, and I’m learning how to smile. I’m not sure when it was I forgot how, but it is evident, it has been a while. I’m proudly displaying far too much of an affliction for a band that is far too popular for this kind of event. It says so much, it always is one thing that keeps you young, that takes you back so you can move forward, I think I’m moving forward. I have to go back though, I have to learn again, I have to move on past the thing I’m not supposed to move on from. I never had been one to claim I was over the last chapter, and you may be confused because it’s actually in the next chapter, but it makes more sense there. Time that is linear might only confuse in this case.
And we relate it all to things, to images, to songs, to books, to colours, to streets, to cities, to nations, to names, and we won’t remember one day, but today I’ll relish in the sadness it brings because I was smiling again.
